Aldera In-home aged care

Like an old friend.

The same small team of carers, every visit. A named Care Lead who answers. A story you only have to tell once.

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Enquire online and we call you back within two business hours.

The problem with home care

A different stranger at the door every week is not continuity of care.

It means retelling your story to someone new. Re-explaining the medications, the routines, the way you like things done. Re-earning trust, again and again, in your own home.

Aldera was built to end that. One small team. One accountable Care Lead. One story, told once.

You’ll know us, and we’ll know you.

The door should open to a face you know.

The Care Circle

Two to four carers. Never a roster lottery.

Every Aldera client has a Care Circle: a small, fixed team of regular carers, led by one named Care Lead with a direct line.

  • You will know every carer in your circle by name, and they will know you.
  • If the circle ever changes, your Care Lead calls first and explains why.
  • Carers are matched to you by language, culture and interests, not just postcode.

The One Story

Tell your story once.

On the first visit we sit down and capture your story properly. From then on, every carer who knocks has already read it. The details that make your life yours travel with the whole team.

  • “White tea, no sugar, in her own mug”
  • “Prefers the garden door, not the front”
  • “Speaks Greek at home, English with the grandkids”
  • “Bowls on Thursday, Mass on Sunday”
  • “The roses were planted for their anniversary”
  • “Never move the photos on the hallway table”

The kinds of details a One Story keeps. Yours will be entirely your own.

Our commitments

Five promises we run the company on.

Not values on a poster. Operating commitments, measured every week, published here so you can hold us to them.

  1. The Care Circle guarantee

Two to four regular carers. Never a roster lottery.

You will know every member of your Care Circle by name, and they will know you. If the circle ever needs to change, your Care Lead calls you first and explains why.

  2. The One Story intake

Tell your story once. Every carer arrives already knowing it.

On our first visit we sit down and capture your story properly. Preferences, routines, family names, language, how you take your tea. Every carer reads it before they knock.

  3. The two-hour callback

Every enquiry gets a human callback within two business hours.

No queues, no ticket numbers, no waiting a week to hear back. A real person from Aldera calls you back within two business hours, every time.

  4. The first-visit ritual

    Nobody meets a stranger alone.

Your Care Lead personally introduces the first carer at your door. The first visit is a proper introduction between people, not an appointment between codes.

  5. The kitchen-table review

Your care plan, reviewed at your table, every quarter.

Not by letter. Not through a portal. Every quarter your Care Lead sits down with you and your family at your kitchen table and asks what should change.

Spoken in your language

Care that understands the kitchen it walks into.

Australia's east coast speaks hundreds of languages. Wherever we can, Aldera matches carers by language and culture, so care arrives already understanding the food, the faith, the family and the way things are done in your home.

This is not a multicultural page bolted onto a website. It is how the whole service is built.

Why “Aldera”

Aldera comes from two old roots. Alden, an Old English name meaning old friend. And the alder, a tree that strengthens the ground it grows in.

That is the whole idea. Care from people you know, that makes life at home stronger.

Money, explained like a friend would

Here’s what the government pays. Here’s what you pay.

The Support at Home program funds most in-home aged care in Australia, and it is genuinely confusing. Our funding guide explains it in plain English, and so will we, on the phone, for your exact situation. No surprises.

The three questions we always answer

  1. 1

What the government pays for, under your assessment.

  2. 2

What, if anything, you contribute yourself.

  3. 3

Exactly what an hour of care costs. In dollars, before you commit.

Areas we serve

Growing across Australia's east coast.

Aldera serves New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. We take on a new area only when we can staff a genuine Care Circle there, so choose your region or call us and we will be straight with you about coverage where you live.

Not listed? Ask us about your area. We answer honestly, and if we cannot help yet we will say so.
